  Low key place for traditional steam table buffet Chinese. Standard menu, nothing unusual, but decently cooked and enjoyable, if you want this sort of undemanding comfort food, like I do.
  
  Main problem is the place is worn in and battered. Evening is clean enough, but the vinyl  seating is cracked and the table tops are scratched. Outdoor surroundings are this side of abandoned
  With a fix up this could be a nice place, at least keep the weeds cut.

  We decided to give the Super Buffet In Rensselaer NY a chance for dinner. We found the food to be fresh and the restaurant clean. There was an ample selection of food to choose from. The food was hot, fresh, tasty and plentiful. I found the service to be excellent!
  
  I believe this restaurant should have more business but possibly the location causes people to pass by.

  So, it now is a rarity when Jughead asks for Chinese food. Last night, he was in the mood, and wanted Chinese Buffet. We had seen Super Buffet on a trip through East Greenbush Monday night, and thought we'd give it a try.
  
  We found it pretty decent, but not the best in the area (hence the four stars). There was a little bit of a wait to be seated for what seemed to be a slow night, but once seated the waitstaff could not be friendlier or more attentive.
  
  I started with a sampling of their sushi, and it was decent for Chinese Buffet sushi. Look, it is never going to be the freshest if you are going to a buffet (as other complained), but it was pretty tasty, pretty fresh, and there was a decent variety. Yes, Kuma Ani and other sushi restaurants are better, but you are getting what you paid for.
  
  My second plate consisted of steamed clams (SO HUGE), with actual drawn butter instead of margarine like other places, their teriyaki chicken skewers, fried scallop, and an egg roll. Again, pretty tasty, and actually slightly better than our other favorite Chinese Buffet. Especially their egg roll, it was not fried dead like other places. The fried scallop was a little rough, it was fried dead.
  
  For my last plate (they are small..lol), I sampled their pepper chicken, pepper steak, steak and broccoli, baked seafood, and seafood delight. All were pretty fresh, rather tasty, and not over cooked or warmed. Everything was very well stocked.
  
  Jughead was also please with everything he tried. So, if you are in the area, and looking for a Chinese Buffet, it's worth the trip. The waitstaff is nice, and the price was typical for a buffet. $10.99/person.

  The food is usually very good and the service is excellent.
  HOWEVER, every time we go to eat there it's like their sewer has backed up. This time was the worse!! It was so bad we had to leave. So gross.

  It's been a few years, but I was recently back for the lunch buffet. The food is still very good, with great variety, tasty and fresh. The staff seems to be better at communicating now too and were pleasant. A nice touch is the chilled greenshell mussels, a valuable item. I also like that they have sushi, though not sushi grade. The were out of the dim sum, which I'd hoped was going to be refilled while I was there, but it wasn't. They also have some standard fare (for picky people). At $8.65 total it is a very good deal. The only complaint is that the parking lot needs some work,, lots of potholes. For what it's worth, I'm a chef of 30+ years.
